This website is run by Darren Townsend-Handscomb RSLI, an interpreter, trainer & coach, living and working in London.

I've built this website and written the notes because of the lack of information available to support Deaf friends and colleagues in challenging AtW decisions.

The information and processes described come from feedback from Deaf people, AtW Guidance, the ICE website, the PHSO website, and feedback from DWP staff. 
   
The suggestions about complaining are my own, based on my experience, and that of Deaf colleagues and Interpreters.   Other information comes from Deaf people’s and Interpreters’ experiences of dealing with AtW.  They are suggestions.  I cannot guarantee they will help you, and you use the information and suggestions at your own risk.

​As all of this is done in my own (limited!) time there's nothing fancy, but I hope it's clear and easy to use.

Please contact me below to feedback about the website, to suggest other links, other documents that would be useful to attach, to tell me about updates to AtW documents, or tell me about changes to procedures if AtW are doing something different to what their Guidelines say they should be doing.
