The portal is still being developed, and at the moment there are some things that don't always work well.
But, most deaf people say that it is much easier to make claims online than filler paper forms, and online forms can't get lots in the post.
It is also easier for other people to countersign, e.g. interpreters, your manager if you are employed, etc.
The first time that you use it you will be asked to first set up an ID account, but you only need to do this once.
